Our Process
We use a 6 step design process to bring our vision and your home to life.
Discovery: This phase involves in person meetings, a questionnaire, and phone calls. During this step we are getting to know you and uncover your tastes and wants. We will discover what you like, what inspires you and we define your specific needs. We will explore and collaborate to make sure that the design outcome reflects you and your personal style.
Schematic Design: Initial design concepts and layouts are explored during this phase. Visuals are used to gather feedback on the direction of the design, creating a path to move forward. We choose colors, materials and textures that coordinate with the end result in mind.
Design Development: This phase is when the design is refined. More detailed drawings, elevations, and finishes. This is when we begin to work with vendors and manufacturers exploring the final furniture, fixtures and equipment.
Construction Documentation: In this step we finalize all details. These finalized plans will be used by the contractors and tradespeople to make your homes design a reality.
Construction Administration: This is the most exciting of the 6 steps. During this phase everything comes to life. The finishings have been ordered and received and will be installed. We collaborate with the contractors, trades, architects and engineers as well as other professionals to insure our vision with all of its details are carried out as planned.
Evaluation: After all the pieces have come together and the dust has settled we will follow up with a post occupancy evaluation. Making sure all the touchups have been complete and the design solution is working for the home owner.
